in the making...?
THE RAG,
like any other venture intended for financial gain, requires revenue. (Now
there's a revelation...)
Two sources of
revenue are available to THE RAG;
revenue from advertising and revenue from reader subscriptions. Securing
revenue from advertisers is a factor of
RHYDAR'S RIDER'S RAG making all effort to
sell advertising space. That's our job. But you can help in two ways:

Firstly,
the more we can demonstrate readership the more attractive we are to
potential advertisers. You can assist by putting your comments about
The Rag and our website in writing, good, bad, indifferent, whatever -
it all counts. Email us at therag@telkomsa.net

fax us on 031-2670341, write to us at PO Box 17, Pavilion, 3611 -
hell, dispatch a carrier pigeon to drop one on our heads - but

Secondly,
tell every bike shop/biker-related business you use/know of, of our
existence. You can even tell them that if they don't advertise in THE
RAG their
business is going to go bust. (It's not true, of course, but fear is
as great a motivation as anything else...) |

Potential
revenue from advertising aside, we'd be real grateful if you would make a voluntary
subscription to THE RAG.

It is FREE
and available to all. |

The
thing is, we trust that bikers comprise that sub-category of human
animal we call "the good stuff"; you know, the kind who have
integrity and compassion for others deserving of it? |

THE RAG costs
significantly in terms of time, effort and resources to produce AND
WE NEED SOME INCOME IN RETURN FOR THAT EFFORT. |

So,
we're asking everyone who reads THE RAG to
make a voluntary annual subscription contribution of R
171.00 (inclusive of VAT), Heck, we will
even send you a Tax Invoice to diddle SARS out of R 21.00 VAT if you
have a business that enables you to do so. |

Make
cheques and postal orders out to Fohla Security CC, which is the
business entity behind THE
RAG. Or, make a
direct deposit into our Nedbank account (email us for banking
details). |

In
return we are offering a permanent virtual publication with an
embedded magazine with a new edition every month, of the ilk of what
has gone before. Each new edition will be announced by an email to all
on our nice big database, with a link to the website page that
contains the latest edition. |

We know
that calling for a voluntary subscription payment for a virtual
publication that you will in any case have access to free of charge is
probably the dumbest commercial concept you have encountered! But, THE
RAG was born of
the same insanity. In any case,
we're having a great deal of fun with it! |

In
short, we are confident that if you like what we dish up, you will pay
for it. And if you do, send us proof of payment (use your email
address as a reference for it is unique to you) and we will send you a
